Print and Production Controller

About the job

Part of a key team that sits at the heart of RHS operations, the Print and Production Controller will provide print and production services and oversee ad production on a diverse range of print projects and high-quality publications, including the UK’s leading gardening magazine, The Garden.

The Print and Production Controller will be responsible for providing day-to-day print and production services, including liaising with external print, paper and mailing suppliers and placing of production orders; providing support for the commercial print procurement operation; providing production workflow support and print procurement for RHS Flower Show Guides, including for RHS Chelsea Flower Show; and managing the production workflow of over 2000 individual adverts each year.

Passionate about print, you will:

• Be an excellent communicator and strong negotiator.
• Have a demonstrable understanding of print and production processes and, ideally, advertising production.
• Have an excellent eye for detail, be highly organised and proactive, with a proven track record of working on multiple publications simultaneously, to multiple deadlines and managing your own workloads.
• Have an ability to think creatively to resolve problems.
• Be able to maintain a wide range of supplier relationships, forge strong relationships with an interesting array of RHS advertisers, and work closely with RHS colleagues across multiple departments.
