Reporting into the Production Director, this role offers a great opportunity for an ambitious, yet experienced Large Format professional to join a well-established provider to the Retail, Events & Exhibition marketplace. Responsible for a team of around 15 staff across the Print and Finishing department, the successful candidate will need to have excellent communication and staff management skills.

Please note this is a hands on role, printing & finishing


         Accountabilities.


  • 1Main Job functions
    1. To assume overall responsibility of the Digital Print Dept.
    2. To ensure all records, reporting and data capture are both accurate and submitted in a presentable and timely manner.
    3. To ensure the day-to-day running of the department is productive and efficient.
    4. To identify opportunities to improve service and reduce costs.
    5. To maintain a safe, clean and presentable working environment.
    6. To implement and maintain all present or future Quality Control Systems (QCS).

  • 2Management of Digital Print


    Production:


    1. To liaise with project and departmental managers ensuring all work is progressed correctly

      allowing maximum efficiency and quality to meet production requirements.

    2. To oversee the quality of all output work produced within the department and to manage the development and implementation of Quality Control System procedures.
    3. To offer technical input to sales personnel and departments involved in the receipt, processing, manipulation, printing, storage and delivery of work.
    4. Through technical expertise, assist to improve the quality of files received and printed items produced.
    5. Through technical expertise aim to improve the speed of production by developing enhanced methods of manufacture for printed items produced.
    6. To pro-actively identify technical problems and provide cost effective solutions in all areas of production.
    7. To co-ordinate and manage any technically difficult work or campaigns throughout the production process and assist other departments with individual technical difficulties.
  • Financial


    1. To maximise the productivity and minimise the costs of the department whilst maintaining or improving the quality of output.
    2. Through technical expertise reduce the cost of printed items produced.
