PRINT PRODUCTION PLANNER ESSEX

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday / 8am to 5pm

Our client is a well-established printing specialist with an impressive range of presses, offering bespoke flexographic and digitally printed products, with a great portfolio of specialist finishes and beautiful embellishments. To help achieve ambitious growth goals our client is looking for a Production Planner to join the friendly and highly skilled production team.

You'll be working with the Works Manager and Pre-press team to utilise your diverse skillset and learn new skills. It is a fantastic opportunity for a someone eager to expand their knowledge of the entire operational process and become a vital player in their multi-functional team. The role will appeal to someone who is comfortable taking on shared duties and enjoys a varied workload.

We are looking for an organised and focussed individual with superb attention to detail. You'll be preparing and planning work for multiple print and finishing machines, providing despatch lists, and advising on delivery dates.

Job Purpose:

  • Carry out tasks as required to ensure successful planning of works. Including ordering stocks/origination/sundries, organising schedules, ordering sundries and pre-press to achieve first class service levels.
  • To support the Works Manager and pre-press team where necessary.
  • Escalating any issues back to the Sales or Estimating team so these can be addressed directly with the customer.
  • Organising daily work schedules for print and finishing.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • IT Knowledge of Excel and Outlook.
  • Highly organised, with good time management skills.
  • High level of focus.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Level headed and calm under pressure.
  • Good communication.
  • Adaptable, with a willingness to learn.

The ideal candidate will have performed Planning / Scheduling in a production environment (1 year preferred).
