Hours - Monday - Friday 8:30am -5pm

Our client is a family-owned company specialising in premium quality flexible films, this International Group has established its position as a market leader in the UK and across Europe through continued investment in manufacturing capability, new product development, quality excellence, and the creation of an unprecedented service culture.

They are looking to recruit an experienced Production Manager, reporting into the General Manager. The Production Manager is responsible for the management of the manufacturing side of the company as well as being the lead for site H&S matters and managing the facilities and infrastructure. The teams directly managed by the Operations Manager include H&S, CI, Production, Warehouse and Engineering. This role requires working with other functional heads to ensure compliance with all relevant safety, quality and product legislation as well as delivering the required balance of operational KPIs. The delivery of CAPEX projects as well as contributing to the budgetary process are also included within this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • QHSE (Quality - Health - Safety - Environment)
  • Ensure sitewide adherence to all safety regulations
  • To be the site management lead for H&S, setting the H&S culture and agenda to drive the organisation towards a goal of zero accidents.
  • Develop and promote Quality and Environmental agenda and culture.

Main Tasks

  • 17 Direct Reports + 4 Shift Managers
  • Maintain a culture of engagement and involvement at every level
  • Oversee daily operations activities
  • Co-ordinate appropriate resource allocation to deliver production demands as well as other KPIs, both operational and business wide
  • Develop and deliver continuous improvement plans
  • Develop and deliver the sitewide CAPEX plan
  • Facilitate cross functional working to deliver business objectives
  • Develop the operations personnel to ensure high level of competencies and have a succession plan built for all job functions.

Personnel Responsibility

  • Responsible for the H&S, CI, Production, Warehouse and Engineering teams
