This role will involve overall management of the planning across the site for some of the most impressive campaigns in the direct mail and personalised commercial print sector. As Production Planner, your responsibilities will be:

  • Having responsibility for scheduling work and updating work in progress using all available (software) tools
  • Ensuring optimum levels of productivity are maintained by reacting quickly to any changes to production schedules and/or issues with machinery or outwork
  • Liaising with departmental mangers and shop floor data to ensure the production planning is accurate
  • Analysing output against planned production identifying downward trends against target and reporting findings 
  • Assessing forward load and identify larger jobs which may affect the production schedules
  • Identifying jobs at risk and providing regular updates to Client Services
  • Provide capacity updates to the Sales, Commercial and Client Services departments weekly
  • Working with the departmental managers and engineers to ensure routine and preventative maintenance is carried out with minimum disruption to production
