PROJECT MANAGER HAMPSHIRE
£Negotiable (Depending on Experience)

Hours of Work: 8.30am to 5.00pm

Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
- To be responsible and accountable for the performance of project delivery through all aspects of production, installation, and sales support.
- To assist the manufacturing cycle ensuring that customer delivery and quality expectations are achieved across all activities, whilst maximizing commercial opportunity.
- To drive, report and discuss with the Contracts Manager any progress, project milestones/ issues/ resolutions and service success enabling sales to develop further opportunities.
- Communicate project expectations and responsibilities to all team members and act as the key decision maker for the day-to-day operational performance of project delivery.
- Manage project risk in line with key stakeholders.
- Manage and document project variations/ specification change throughout the life cycle of a project (change control).
- Drive to improve the overall performance of your project delivery in terms of delivery timelines and revenue.
- Explain any variances to expected performance and suggest solutions to causes of performance variation (including cost variations).
- Supervise the Project Plan to ensure timelines are achieved and that all parties internal and external are fully informed of progress.
- Ensure all relevant documentation is completed at each stage either directly or indirectly.
- Offer practical advice on project enquiries to sales, estimating or the client as required.
- Contribute to continuous improvements in the key aspects of manufacturing and project performance.
- Understand the manufacturing schedule.
- Implement on an ongoing basis the adoption of best working practices and operational methods to maintain process efficiency and competitiveness.
- Co-ordinate and lead project meetings recording actions/ details accordingly.
- Promote a team working ethic by example.
Initial Objectives:
- Use the appropriate company tools and processes required to manage projects effectively
- Support the Contracts Manager by outlining known project risks.
- Be commercially aware and contribute to the input and monitoring of project budgets.
- In conjunction with the Contracts Manager define a statement of works outlining key project information and internal/ external project responsibilities.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Maintenance of customer satisfaction levels.
- Assist with the reduction of NC & CC levels (contribute to investigations and implementation of preventative actions.)
- Establish and maintain effective project handover and wash-ups, including project analysis to check budget, spec, and timing adherence.
- Accurate Project Management forecasting.
- Timely and accurate invoicing.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a service delivery / manufacturing environment.

Educational and Professional:
- Appropriate technical and manufacturing experience for the role being carried out.
- Maths and English to GCSE level or equivalent
