JOB TITLE: SALES DEVELOPMENT MANAGER - FLEXIBLE PACKAGING

LOCATION: EAST MIDLANDS, WEST MIDLANDS, NORTH WEST ENGLAND, NORTH EAST ENGLAND or will consider other locations with easy motorway network access.

INDUSTRY: Flexo / Digital Printing, Packaging, Flexible Packaging, Pouches, Sachets, Vertical Form Fill seal, Horizontal Form Fill Seal, Continuous Film.

SALARY: £40-65K (Negotiable depending on experience) + Incentives & Benefits Package

COMPANY: Our client is part of an International group with manufacturing sites globally, they are investing heavily in the latest technologies to provide high quality printed flexible packaging solutions, pouches, sachets, continuous VFFS & HFFS films in PET / PE/ ALU / EVOH / Paper and multi layer laminates.

THE ROLE: They require a Sales Development Manager in the UK with a proven track record of sales in these products / markets to showcase the value of the companies' packaging solutions and the problems this can solve for customers, managing the sales process and winning new customers.
This is a brand new and ambitious position within the company and has great potential to develop into a Senior Management role for the UK. Key Activities include: Being actively involved in new business generation via cold calling and researching. To manage designated accounts to ensure that the client's needs are met. Identify and qualify new opportunities within existing customer base. Develop leads into new business opportunities and customers. To support customer base with product selection and product training where necessary. Compiling reports on an accurate basis as required by management.

KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE: A strong track record of sales within the product / market mix in the flexible packaging sector in the UK. Strong communication and IT fluency. Creative talents and the ability to solve tough problems. In-depth knowledge of the industry and its current events. The ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines. Skill in prioritising and triaging obligations. Attention to detail. Excellent time management and organisation
