Salary: £40-£55,000 basic salary, with an additional performance related bonus of up to 10% p.a. NEST pension scheme and private medical insurance.

We are looking for an energetic, commercially-minded, talented and ambitious Sales & Marketing Manager to join our team and quickly take ownership of a demanding role. A real and unique opportunity for the right person to grow with the business into a senior leadership role.

CarbonCO is a carbon consultancy which manages the Carbon Balanced Paper (CBP) initiative as well as helping companies measure and report their greenhouse gas emissions. www.carbonbalancedpaper.com 

 

Through its partnership with World Land Trust, patron Sir David Attenborough, the Carbon Balanced Paper programme has enabled thousands of leading brands to reduce the carbon impacts of their marketing communications and packaging. It has offset over 250,000 tonnes of CO2 through the protection and restoration of threatened tropical forests rich in biodiversity. 

 

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, supported by a wider marketing team, key responsibilities will include:

  • Growing adoption of Carbon Balanced Paper and our Carbon Footprint services within the UK through an integrated sales and marketing communications strategy
  • Maintaining existing partner relationships and supporting our partners to develop and deliver their own sales propositions
  • Identifying and converting new partnership opportunities
  • Managing the marketing communications strategy, including the budget, planning, and execution of activities 
  • Organising and hosting partner conference calls and meetings as required

 

About You

  • A minimum of 5 years’ commercial experience in a client facing role and be prepared to assume full responsibility for managing existing and building new client relationships
  • A genuine passion for sustainability, with an eagerness to develop an expert knowledge of carbon management and wider environmental topics
  • A good understanding of marketing communications across all channels 
  • Experience organising and hosting meetings (in person and virtual)
  • Highly organised & self-motivated 

 

Further Details 

This is a permanent, full time (37.5 hours). Regular meetings required at the company office, but this role offers the flexibility of working from home. This role will require travel to attend client meetings so the ability to drive is essential.

Salary: £40,000 – £55,000, depending on experience. Benefits include an additional performance related bonus of up to 10% p.a.

Pension: Employees are enrolled automatically in NEST, the government workplace pension scheme, after 3 months

Private Medical Scheme: Employees can join the company private medical scheme after completing the probationary period

Holiday: 20 days + 8 days statutory holiday. The office is closed between Christmas and New Year and does not form part of the holiday allowance
