SECTOR SALES MANAGER - PHARMACEUTICAL OR AUTOMOTIVE PACKAGING

Basic Salary £50-60K + 2.5% Commission (on new customers / new business) + Car Allowance + Pension + Health Cash Plan + Employee Assistance Benefits Program

Our Client is a multinational manufacturer of plastic packaging for pharmaceutical, retail and automotive industries. They are currently recruiting for a Sector Sales Manager in a field based role to manage either the Pharmaceutical or Automotive business in the UK & Ireland. You will inherit existing business and will be proactively growing accounts and developing new business.
Reporting to the Sales Manager you will be a trusted member of the UK external sales team with personal responsibility for the sale of multiuse plastic packaging and other associated products.

Goals:

  • To generate sustained sales revenue growth from existing customers and researched business leads within your geographical region via research, engage, qualify and deliver approach to business development.
  • You must be continually driven to completely satisfy the requirements of both your internal and external customers and will motivate your colleagues to share this philosophy.
  • Your ability to adopt a transparent, proactive, and collaborative approach when facing the inevitable difficulties of sustaining complete customer satisfaction will be essential to demonstrate and prove both your own professional approach and an ongoing commitment to the success of the business.
  • Maintain face-to-face engagement with existing customers and new organisations as part of your weekly contact schedule to qualify the practical and commercial viability of open sales opportunities.
  • Reiterate or introduce the benefits of the product range in terms of standard product options and bespoke solutions, pre-qualify potential future sales opportunities and define their associated product design requirements.
  • Convert your pre-qualified customer enquiries and new business development leads to sales opportunities on the company CRM system.
  • Work collaboratively with internal sales and design resources to develop costed product solutions that meet the specified design requirements and present these professionally to existing customers and new organisations.

Your Qualifications & Skills

  • Confident and professional communicator (verbal, written and face-to-face presentation)
  • Organised with a structured and driven approach to networking, market research and lead generation.
  • Demonstrable success in a direct selling role preferably in related packaging industries.
  • Experience of short and long cycle project sales and ability to maintain stakeholder inclusion.
  • Practical experience of CRM systems such as Microsoft FastTrack 360
