Senior Production Controller/Manager

The Senior Production Controller/Manager will provide support to the Production Director to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the department by overseeing all aspects of the work. They will also ensure that a professional service is delivered to all our customers.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with implementing new systems and processes (while improving existing systems and processes) to increase speed to Prepress, cost accountability, and a reduction in planning errors
• Deputise for the Production Director
• Assist with leading the production team to ensure maximum levels of productivity within the available resources
• Ensure high levels of efficiency and effectiveness within the department
• Ensure that the level of waste is minimised during daily operation
• Assist in reporting weekly output and highlighting failures
• Ensure the effective and efficient utilisation of staff and their skills
• Undertake any other duties as may be reasonably required

Experience, Skills and Knowledge

• At least 3 years’ experience of managing staff in a production/manufacturing/print retail setting
• Experience of managing projects in a production/manufacturing/print retail setting
• A good understanding of production/print processes and equipment within the industry
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience of having worked in print retail / media
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook
• Excellent IT/systems skills
• Experience and good knowledge of large format Digital, screen and Litho print processes
• Ability to demonstrate and provide evidence and experience of improving processes and driving productivity improvements
• Excellent critical thinker and problem-solving skills

Benefits

• £40,000+ salary - more for an exceptionally skilled candidate 
• Car allowance of £300 per month
