Our client is a successful Events and Exhibitions company based in the North West. With a turnover of over £20 million they offer a complete range of in-house services from design, build through to on-site project management and installation.

The Senior Project Manager is ultimately responsible for managing all client communications pre-event, on site and post-show for the planning and delivery of their exhibition stand. They will be required to develop and maintain positive and progressive working relationships, both internal and externally, across multiple functions.
They are expected to have a strong understanding of the commercial P&L's for custom build stands and deliver to the critical timelines within the contractual and financial controls, with the goal of helping to deliver every project on time, within budget and within scope.
The role will be a key position within the company and will work hand in hand with the creative team / design studio and sales to ensure we deliver on company growth, change process goals, commercial targets, and client expectations.

Responsibilities / Requirements:

  • Working closely with the Group Sales Director to actively seek sales opportunities within their client relationships for organic growth.
  • Identifying new possible clients or services to grow clients and product base.
  • Processing all given jobs on given shows throughout the year.
  • Looking after the relevant emails.
  • Manage and communicate works orders, input to operations for pull/prep or manufacture.
  • Updating job files for all shows - adding and amending regularly with the correct Production wording.
  • Sending the relevant detail to those who don't have access to email e.g., Paint and Flooring Departments.
  • Onsite contact with clients.
  • Placing all orders for furniture, AV, or bespoke items.
  • Liaising with relevant foreman to ensure everything is correct and ready for the shows/stand.
  • Organising folders for the Foreman to include artwork, stand plans, codes & colours.
  • Ensuring the folders, sign off documents and feedback forms are ready for site.

  • Raising any relevant Purchase Orders.
  • Writing up Health & Safety documents - RAMS and Risk Assessments.
  • Attending pre-show & Project Management onsite when required.
  • Attending shows to collect data when required.
  • Additional Admin duties such as answering phones, setting up of folders etc.
  • Assisting the rest of Project team with additional tasks when needed.
  • Reporting and escalating to management as needed.
  • Successfully managing the relationships with all stakeholders, internal and external.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Time served knowledge of account management and commercial responsibilities.
  • Proven experience of working in an exhibition / event management environment.
  • Track record of successful project delivery, production management in previous roles.
  • Ability to operate in a change environment with emphasis on driving change.
  • Understands and champions the continual improvement cycle of business operations.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and to work in a team culture.
  • Client and service delivery focused, relationship builder.
  • Self-motivated and results driven.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
