About the job

Our Client is a leading expert in the supply and management of packaging solutions specialising in reducing costs, and improving results.

They work with global network of high quality accredited manufacturers and suppliers in order to deliver solutions to clients across many industries.

Boasting fantastic customer retention rates, this packaging specialist services a diverse mix of Clients ranging from exciting start-up brands and SMEs to some of the biggest Retailers and Supermarkets in the UK.

Specialties: A wide variety of Non / Printed Paper and Film Bags, Sacks and Pouches.

Subsequent to growing sales, they are looking to appoint a Senior Sales Account Manager / Sales Manager with Supervisory and External Sales experience.

This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated individual to further their thriving career within Flexible Packaging Sales - the appointment will not just be down to Product & Market knowledge but, as importantly, a personable attitude and the ability to fit into a dynamic team.

The role will require someone with an open mind, flexible approach and professional attitude as its remit will include a variety of account management tasks, external sales activities and some travelling in the UK and overseas.

This leading supplier believes that packaging is one of the most important aspects of their Customer’s Brand and, without the strategic packaging management from design board to shop floor that their service offers, time and costs can quickly spiral out of control. It is important that we find someone whose passion for the industry aligns with theirs.

The main objectives of this role are to:

  1. Find new customers and develop own portfolio of business accounts
  2. Be responsible for managing existing and new customers
  3. Liaise with the admin and logistics teams to ensure deliveries of orders on time

Day to day responsibilities will include:

• Managing house and own customer accounts on a daily basis.

• Liaising with customers (UK & Europe).

• Updating sales budgets per account and helping the sales team to meet the monthly target.

• Prospecting new markets and following up sales enquiries.

• Visiting customers.

• Working closely with the sales admin team to follow up processes from order to delivery.

• Pre-press / post-press artwork liaison.

• Attending trade shows and travel to overseas as required.

Fulfilling the above will require someone who can exhibit a highly organised individual with great attention to detail and an ability to prioritise and work both independently and within a team. It goes without saying that a sales management role needs someone with excellent communication skills and a keen interest in building business relationships. If you think you have what it takes, we would love to hear from you.

Benefits: Bonus Scheme + Christmas Bonus + Company Pension + Company Car
