Scotland’s most northerly printers are looking for a qualified/time-served printer.

Based in Lerwick in the Shetland Isles, The Shetland Times Ltd produces a wide range of printed products ranging from simple stationery through to quality colour brochures and booklets. These are produced on a variety of sheet-fed presses including a 5-unit Komori colour press with colour+ spectral colour management system. The weekly newspaper is produced on a Goss web-offset press with eight units configured to produce eight colour pages and 32 black only in one pass.

In addition the finishing department is geared to produce a wide range of stationery and print products from the presses, including the usual range of cutting, folding an hand finishing operations as well as brochure and booklet finishing on a 20-station Horizon Stitchliner.

We are seeking a qualified/time-served printer preferably with experience in all these operations but additional training will be provided as required, together with future training in other print related areas such as our large-format production and installation.
