SIGN MAKER X2     

 BERKSHIRE

£10 per hour (Negotiable depending on experience) 

Hours: 8:30am to 5pm 

Our client is a signage company based in Berkshire, they are currently looking for 2 Sign Makers to join their existing team. The ideal candidate will have signage experience, however they will consider any background with transferable skills. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following: 

  • To carry out manual production and finishing work in a timely fashion to meet deadlines as required. 
  • Carry out all work to an acceptable quality standard to satisfy and complete customer orders ready for dispatch. 
  • Process customer orders that require items to be manufactured or finished 
  • Trimming/cutting out of printed signs by hand.
  • Trimming/cutting out of printed signs using guillotine.
  • Trimming/cutting out of printed signs using saws.
  • Punching/drilling fixing holes in signs.
  • Trimming radius corners on signs.
  • Sticking down self-adhesive vinyl graphics (wet and dry).
  • Laminating signs with clear vinyl (wet and dry).
  • Cutting sign posts to length on chop saw
  • Cutting channel/bar on chop saw
  • Cutting wooden posts/steaks on chop saw
  • Assembly of multi part sign systems.
  • Manufacture of custom items for sign mounting.
  • Application of mounting tape to stock items.
  • Banner Production (Hem Welding & Eyeleting)
  • Sorting completed jobs and stacking ready for dispatch.
  • Quality check all work completed or observed.
  • Any other reasonable task within the post holder’s skill and ability as required by the organisation.
  • Provide efficient and effective production work as required by the company.
  • Work to acceptable quality standards at all times.
  • Identify and highlight any sub-standard work (your own or others) for correction before shipping.
  • Reporting directly to the Production Manager
