As Site Lead, you will be responsible for: 

  • Developing  a strategic plan which further enhances the company’s positioning within the market as a HQPP speciality sheet plant
  • Continuing to build upon objective plans, budgets, and result measurements for all departments, review progress and make mid-course corrections
  • Ensure all departments achieve targets, control expenses as outlined in budgets and business plans
  • Closely examine and monitor all management accounts, daily and weekly operating controls and key performance indicators
  • Look for ways to increase profitability and exploit the markets to achieve and where possible exceed business objectives focusing on high added value/short run multi production route work mix
  • Continuously refine and improve the quality standards in the business and to maintain Chelmsford’s positioning in the market as a high quality print plant


Key attributes required:

  • Successful track record in their current and preceding roles  
  • Ability to identify niche sales opportunities and articulate the market position of the plant alongside the Sales Director
  • Strong operational focus balancing the needs for short run high quality packaging with plant volume capability
  • Strong commercial awareness 
  • Considerable energy, resilience and perseverance
