Our Client is a well established and leading Manufacturer of specialist Print Supplies who are seeking to appoint an experienced Manufacturing Management Professional for their Essex based operation.

The role reprorts to the Group Sales & Operations Manager  and will have the following direct reports: Factory Manager, Office Manager, Lab Manager.

They will give equal consideration to Candidates who come from a general Print Supplies manufacturing environment - Pressroom: Chemicals / Inks / Coatings Pigments / Dyes or Laminates / Adhesives /  Varnishes / Lacquers / Paints etc.

They are looking for a seasoned General Manager with experience of leadership within an SME Manufacturing environment to oversee all staff, budgets and operations..

Main responsibilities include formulating overall strategy, managing people and establishing policies. 

To be successful in this role, you should be a Strategic Thinking Leader and a confident, data driven decision-maker, helping your people develop and continually improve your operation’s effectiveness, all while ensuring profits are maintained.

Ultimately, you’ll help the company and people grow and thrive while offering a world class Product and Service offering to your Customers.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day Production operations

Design strategy and set goals for growth

Maintain budgets and optimize expenses

Set policies and processes

Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally

Oversee recruitment and training of new employees

Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance

Direct the employee assessment process

Prepare regular reports for upper management

Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Site / General Manager: Manufacturing. 
  • Experience in planning and budgeting
  • Knowledge of business process and functions.
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
  • Problem-solving aptitude - provide solutions to any arising issues.
