MANCHESTER, LEEDS OR ESSEX AREA (AGILE WORKING)

£Open Dependent on experience + Pension + Flexible Working + Death in Service

Hours: 37.5 hours per week and working both on site and remote (flexibility in working pattern and location may be required)

Our client provides their clients with dedicated, professionals who live and breathe artwork and design. They have a portfolio of high-end customers who they work with daily. Delivering the precise skills and capacity they require, complemented by creative, digital and production expertise from the wider business. They're looking for an accurate and talented Technical Artworker / Reprographics Operator with a good technical background. Someone with an interest in automation and Web2print templating. In this role, you will work as part of the e-commerce, digital & creative team, interpreting complex briefs and creating accurate output across a range of communications and multiple channels that will engage and inspire clients. A typical week could include anything from prepress services, template creation for variable content or online product preparation for print and digital.

You will be a self-motivated, collaborative, and a bit creative who thrives in a range of tasks; is prepared to challenge the status quo and bring a real energy to what you do. Experience in template creation (Chili Publish) and or Magento 2 a big advantage.

Your skill set shouldn't just be traditional, and you will be able to bring innovative solutions to the table. You work well under pressure, keeping your cool when challenges arise while looking for solutions. You're a team player who is not afraid to make a case for what you believe in.
You will also want to progress your skills, in return the company can support your thirst for knowledge, providing internal training and support with your personal development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take the lead on scoping out design-based projects and working with the design and project managers to execute complex creative briefs.
  • Create inspiring and exciting content - from repurposing, reformatting of assets to ideation.
  • You will have in-depth knowledge of the full Adobe creative suite.
  • Experience in website design, Magento, Javascript, Chili Publish / web2print would be an advantage.
  • Experience with Web Content Accessibility would be a benefit to this role but not essential.
  • Accurately follow amend request and log time ensuring full visibility of work.
  • Be confident in your work and courteous with communication to stakeholders and customers.
  • Positively influencing clients with creative input in addition to finding ways of streamlining process.
  • Ensure work is completed within time and budget and raise any concerns relating to deadlines early on. Ability to manage own time is essential.
  • Act as a brand guardian ensuring the materials created always meet brand guidelines and the creative brief and that quality control checklists and procedures are always followed.
  • Adhere to consistent industry standard design and production processes, while also identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Keenly evaluate and monitor industry trends and brands, research industry developments in branding and marketing to be at the forefront of creative excellence.
  • Provide quality assurance of all creative deliverables coming out of the studio.
  • Be a role model for, inspire, mentor, guide and supervise other designers, artworkers, team members to raise the overall team skillset.
