They are looking to recruit a Packaging Technician or Technical Manager who has a working knowledge of multiple print and prepress technologies. The ideal candidate will be required to have a good understanding of Flexo printing.

Responsibilities

• Play a primary role in the area of Technical Service, working closely with the sales and production teams to achieve customer and business objectives through technical means
• Validate and liaise with Suppliers to ensure continuity of supply and maximum quality
• Colour Management expertise; proactively and reactively supports this technology, via the Print function, Ink Manager and Ink Suppliers
• To assesses customers' needs and proactively and reactively incorporate continuous improvement methods and philosophy
• Work with and calls on top level management as well as suppliers, to develop technical response/action plans regarding issues and opportunities
• Troubleshoot press issues - for flexo/gravure/offset products for the Narrow Web industry customers - and recommend actions/formulations to improve/correct situation.
• Gather correct information so lab resources can operate in the most efficient manner, both to correct issues and to design new products
• Complete and participate in special projects as assigned
• Provide weekly and/or monthly reports detailing technical projects/issues/needs.
• Directly communicate on-site with customers to address technical issues and/or interacts with customers as a professional immediate technical resource
