elasticStage is seeking a trainee print and finishing operator to join our team and play a vital role in our production process. Operating digital printing machines and finishing equipment, you will be responsible for ensuring the high-quality and timely printed components for vinyl records. Your attention to detail and eventual technical expertise will contribute to the success of our innovative solutions, enabling music creators to share their art with the world.

Responsibilities

• Train to operate and maintain Digital Printing and Finishing equipment to produce printed sleeves for vinyl records for the on-demand platform
• Monitor the printing process, inspecting printed materials for quality and making any necessary adjustments
• Troubleshoot and resolve print and finishing issues to minimise downtime and ensure efficient production
• Follow manufacturing processes and maintain accurate records of print jobs, materials used, and any issues or delays encountered
• Collaborate with the production team to prioritise and fulfil print orders in a timely manner
• Assist in the organisation and inventory management of printing supplies and materials
• NVQ qualification for the right candidate

Requirements

• GCSE C or above in English and Maths
• Practically minded with an excellent work ethic
• Ideally, experience or knowledge of Digital print and finishing, although not essential
• Familiarity with vinyl records
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and effectively manage time to meet production deadlines
• Good physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy materials if required
• Flexibility to work in different shifts and weekends if necessary
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues in a fast-paced environment
