VINYL APPLICATOR - SIGNS AND GRAPHICS DERBYSHIRE

£Open Dependant on Experience + 20 Days Holiday (up to 1 day per year up to 25) + Bank Holidays + Pension + Overtime at Time ½ + Death in Service (after 1 year) + Bonus Scheme
Hours of Work: 8.00 - 16.30 Monday to Thursday & 8.00 - 15.20 Friday + Overtime

Our client is a high growth company serving the fast-paced sign industry with top quality signage and graphics. They seek to employ a highly motivated Vinyl Applicator, possessing excellent organisation skills and profound technical ability for the use of wide format digital printers as well as having strong values aligned with the company's own values, which are; Teamwork, Accountability, Integrity, Clarity, Passion and Excellence.

The company is involved in a number of high profile roll-out programmes across the UK for high street brands and large corporate identities. Possessing strong analytical and problem-solving attributes you will ensure that the
attention is in the detail whilst upholding company values, and accurately
interpreting order information, which in turn will ensure we meet and exceed client
expectations. You will liaise regularly with the Team Leader as well as the Shopfloor
Manager to ensure that deadlines are met. You will be responsible for ensuring that all
Policies and Procedures along with Health and Safety are adhered to, reporting non-conformance and quality defects to your Team Leader.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Knowledge and experience of Photoshop, Illustrator, Coral Draw or similar
  • Experience with Mimaki Printers/HP Printers and Onyx Rip software
  • Experience using Laminators and Plotting Machines
  • Experience with applicating vinyls and prints to various substrates
  • Experience of working in 5S and/or Lean Manufacturing Environment

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Set up, operate or tend machines that print and/or cut vinyl materials
  • Set up, operate or tend to machinery which assists with application of graphics
  • and/or applies lamination
  • Adjust machine controls to alter position, alignment, speed or pressure
  • Remove materials or products from machines and store them for additional
  • processing
  • Weed and tape vinyl materials ready for application to substrates
  • Apply vinyl's and prints to substrates including; painted aluminium, acrylic and
  • Foamex
  • Maintain production records
  • Carry out quality control checks
  • Clean and maintain machines and workstations
  • Follow company policy and procedures within your department, reporting any non conformance to management
  • Maintain a high level of quality
  • Notify management of any discrepancies or quality concerns
  • Adhere to all health and safety rules and regulations
  • Attend training and develop relevant knowledge and skills
