About the job

A leading specialist printing company that engages trusted partners through creative solutions is looking for a Workflow Colour Management Specialist to join its team. This is an opportunity to join a company whose staff work together with loyalty, respect and honesty, challenging each other to improve every day, driving success through determination – with confidence and resilience, whilst still having fun.

This role requires a self-motivated individual with a full understanding of ISO 12647 and associated print and proofing standards, alongside an understanding of ISO 2846 and ISO 3664. You will also be knowledgeable about XML and JSON and be able to manipulate and use data from other systems APIs, Webservices etc to drive Esko Automation Engine. Ideally, you will have experience of Caldera or similar large format digital rips along with Harlequin rips and plate curves/linearisation. As part of your role, you will be confident in calibrating digital and litho presses from scratch using the G7 method. As part of this process, you will also be able to print and scan colour targets to create device link profiles and then upload them to the colour server to populate or create a queue.

The focus of this role is to remove touch points and successfully automate systems from receipt of artwork to processing the files and delivering them print ready to the presses, where they are produced as expected to match the target output Epson files. This area of the business is continuously improving and is perfect for disciplined yet curious and inventive candidates.
