About the job

We are looking for a Workflow Specialist to take ownership of and develop workflow systems at a leading print group. This role will predominately, but not exclusively, work on workflow solutions for Litho, Digital & Large Format.

Key Responsibilities:

Ownership – Shared responsibility for the daily running of workflow systems to ensure flow of work keeps up with production demands.

Maintenance – Working closely with the Head of Workflow & Prepress to ensure that workflow systems and servers are maintained regularly and running up to date software.

Development – Project Management of ‘New Workflow Opportunities’ liaising with Production and Implementation to hit internal/client demands.

Continuous Improvement – Review workflow systems to ensure latest technologies and software are extensively utilised.

Training – Where required, proactively organise training of ‘New Technologies’ into Prepress, Customer Service, Client Operations & Manufacturing. Produce supporting documentation for existing, or new staff, to demonstrate how to use workflow systems.

Existing Applications to Manage:

Prinergy

Maintain existing Workflow and RBAs.

Develop & Implement new Workflows & RBAs.

Training & technical support with supporting documentation of workflow systems.

Collaborate with development team to expand RBA capabilities using Visual Basic.

Impositions

Manage existing Imposition Library.

Expand standard products using existing or future applications.

Switch/Pitstop

Manage Existing Workflows & Action Lists.

Develop new Workflows & Actions Lists.

MIS

On occasion integration into Tharstern will be required, keeping up to date with new opportunities & different solutions in the future.

Hours:

Working 5 x 8h shifts Monday-Friday but on occasions may be required to work some evenings and weekends to meet project milestones if required. Flexible hybrid working from home opportunities available.
